Artistic events on the streets of Matosinhos
This Saturday, the 15th of October, art flowed through the city of Matosinhos from Rua Brito Capelo to Praça Guilherme Pinto.
Circus arts, classical music, theatre, tuna, hip-hop, dance, graffiti, poetry, beatbox, gymnastics and the final concert 'strolled' through the streets arousing the curiosity of those who passed by.
The vice-president and councillor for Youth of the Matosinhos City Hall, Carlos Mouta, associated himself to the event that, every year, counts with the involvement of several associations that take the opportunity to present a small exhibition of the work developed throughout the year.
The Arte Fora de Sítio started at 2pm with circus arts by Ard'Rua in Matosinhos market, followed by performances by the music school Óscar da Silva, the choir of Orfeão de Matosinhos, Tuna of ISCAP, MC Putto and theatre by Associação Recreativa Aurora da Liberdade.
The artistic manifestations continued with dance performances by The Bling Crew, Attitude Dance School and Junqueira Dance, not forgetting the recitation of poetry by students of the Ruiz Costa Professional School.
At the crossroads of the EPROMAT school the circus arts returned and then, at the Guilherme Pinto square, there were demonstrations of beat box and guitar by Fresh' Mic and David Eusébio, of the Parábola Fantástica Association, of the Alberta Lima Dance School, ending with the concert of the Matosinhos-Leça Philharmonic Orchestra.
During the afternoon, the initiative counted with graffiti actions by Paulo Boz and Bruno Anti from the Collective Bad project.
It is worth reminding that Arte Fora de Sítio is an initiative promoted by the Matosinhos City Hall for the last 15 years and carried out in partnership with associations and institutions of the municipality with the purpose of showing the public several artistic manifestations, decontextualizing them from conventional formats and spaces. The project encompasses several artistic strands and intends to break stereotypes and prejudices regarding the different possibilities of presenting and making art, in form, place and objectives.
Every year the public is presented, in an unexpected and interactive way, with many ways of presenting art, the spaces are filled with nonconformism and unpredictability, intending to awaken in the public new sensations, emotions, experiences and livings.
