The competition took place this Sunday (September 11th) and had more than a thousand classifieds
The 7th edition of the Port of Leixões Race held on Sunday (September 11) registered 1078 classified runners, of which 228 were female (21.15%).
With the start and finish line set up near the new cruise ship terminal at the Port of Leixões, the 10 km course had two Salgueiros SC athletes as winners, Bernardo Rocha in 30m31s and Rafaela Fonseca in 34m54.
Following Bernardo Rocha were Rúben Pires (UD Várzea) in 1m07s and João Figueiredo (Assoc. Figueiredos Runners & Friends) in 1m54s. After Rafaela Fonseca, the remaining places on the podium were occupied by Andreia Santos (RD Águeda) at 26 seconds and Diana Fernandes (UD Várzea) at 1m16s. Bianca Marques was last with 1h30m51s.
Collectively, 67 teams were classified with SC Salgueiros winning with 40 points, followed by UD Várzea with 42 and CCDAPDL with 54.
1300 euros were awarded in prize money with the winners each collecting 300 euros. There was also a 5 km walk.
