117 years serving Culture in Matosinhos
The Associação Recreativa Aurora da Liberdade (ARAL) celebrated its 117th anniversary this Saturday, 13 May.
Always at the service of Culture in Matosinhos, ARAL has left its mark in several areas, with particular focus on what concerns the theatre.
Since its foundation, on May 13th 1906, and throughout its history, ARAL has been responsible for the staging of more than 200 plays.
The Mayor of the Matosinhos City Hall, LuÃsa Salgueiro, joined the celebrations of the institution's anniversary, an emblematic date that was also joined by the Councillor for Culture, Fernando Rocha, as well as the members of the institution's board of directors, associates and supporters.
