Carlos Fangueiro renews contract with Leixões

The club announced the renewal of the coach's contract.

Carlos Fangueiro renewed his contract with Leixões on Wednesday, the club announced on social media, without revealing the length of the contract.

The 47-year-old coach joined the club at the start of the season, having spent the last 12 years coaching teams in Luxembourg. The goal of staying was secured, guaranteeing the club's confidence in the coach's continuation.

In Fangueiro's 16 games in charge, the club had 11 draws, three wins and two defeats, finishing in 14th place.

The coach, a native of Matosinhos, returned to the club where he trained as a player and where he made his professional debut in 1995/96, having also returned in the 2010/2011 season.
