Clube dos Pensadores talks to André Villas-Boas on 8 May

The Thinkers' Club (CdP) leaves politics behind from time to time to explore other themes

Football is a subject that the Portuguese are passionate about and, therefore, the coordinator of the Clube dos Pensadores, Joaquim Jorge, invites André Villas-Boas to the next session on 8 May.

The conversation will take place at the Hotel Holiday Inn Porto-Gaia, at 21h30.

Joaquim Jorge recalls that, in 2014, he had invited André Villas-Boas, and his participation was then settled. "However, the invitation from Zenit St Petersburg made it impossible for him to come to CdP on that date. Since then, many people have asked for André Villas-Boas, and for us to get in touch again and invite him". So it happened, Joaquim Jorge invited him again, and André Villas-Boas accepted.

André Villas-Boas has already been in the dream chair of FC Porto, as coach, in 2010-2011, winning everything there was to win - national championship, Portuguese Cup, Super Cup and Europa League -, in a season considered by many as the best of the decade of FC Porto.

He also has varied experience in international football, with spells at Chelsea, Tottenham, Zenit, Shanghai SIPG and Marseille.

André Villas-Boas is an eclectic personality. As well as being a professional footballer, he is a motorsport enthusiast, a dedicated philanthropist, and a writer in his spare time. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Executive Management at Columbia Business School in the United States.
