"Books for Solidarity" event was held at the Civic Center of Custóias
It is with a positive outcome that this first edition comes to an end, within the scope of the networking developed between the Union of the Parishes of Custóias, Leça do Balio and Guifões and the Vincentian Conference of Custóias, which had the objective of raising funds for the purchase of food and subsequent distribution to needy families who benefit from food support through this entity.
The sale of used books, at the Custóias Civic Centre, at the symbolic price of one euro, also had an environmental objective, since it allowed the circulation of used books, and their reuse, thus reducing the creation of waste and the waste of objects that can effectively have a new life.
