6th edition of the Festival, ends with “record number of spectators”.
This edition of DDD – Festival Dias da Dança, which, for more than 10 days, passed through several stages in the cities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos, reached a “record number of spectators”, registering the presence of about 10 thousand spectators at the event.
The information was provided by the municipal company Ágora, in a statement which added that the festival, which this year featured 44 shows, including national and international premieres, had an “occupancy rate of 85 percent”.
According to Tiago Guedes, artistic director of DDD, the public had the opportunity to rediscover a “more mature festival, with a clearer mission and with an eye on the future”. In addition, he added, quoted in the released note, he watched an “edition that also wanted to be more inclusive with shows that offered Interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language and Audio Description”.
With this edition closed, the organization is already looking for next year, which will return between the 18th and 30th of April.
