INDAQUA offers prizes to promote adhesion to water and sanitation networks

To reinforce the environmental and public health advantages of adhering to water and sanitation networks, INDAQUA has launched a new incentive: a raffle for a car and electric bicycles. The "Connect is Win" campaign can already be seen in six municipalities in the North and, for the concessionaire, represents "an innovative way to communicate in the sector"

Sustainability and proximity are two fundamental principles for INDAQUA, which reflected them in its latest commercial campaign. One of the largest operators of municipal concessions in Portugal is encouraging the adherence to water and wastewater networks, as a way to strengthen the safety and quality of the water that reaches the population of six of the municipalities where it is present.

To those who join these networks for the first time, abandoning the use of pits and boreholes or private wells, INDAQUA gives access to the drawing of seven prizes: a Fiat 500 and electric bicycles. The campaign, signed by the company itself, can already be seen in local media and communication supports in Matosinhos, Oliveira de Azeméis, Santa Maria da Feira, Santo Tirso, Trofa and Vila do Conde - the municipalities where the concessionaire has been responsible for operating the water supply and sanitation systems for the longest time.

Adhering to these public networks is mandatory by law whenever the infrastructure is available within 20 meters of a property's boundary. However, many Portuguese families still opt for alternative solutions, such as wells, for water, or septic tanks, for sanitation. Due to the lack of permanent control, these types of structures pose risks both to public health and to environmental contamination, particularly of groundwater.

"We want to make the inhabitants of these municipalities aware of this reality, encouraging them to follow the safest option: to count on public networks to have access to 100% controlled water and the correct routing and treatment of wastewater. We tried to do it through a dynamic campaign, with attractive prizes that also promote sustainability", says Luís Lourenço, Communication Manager of the INDAQUA Group. "We believe that this is an innovative way to communicate in the sector and to contribute to the environmental awareness of the population," he adds.

To be eligible to win one of the prizes that INDAQUA has to offer, the consumers of these six municipalities must apply for the water and/or sanitation network until November 20th through the website or at a service counter of the company. The prizes will be raffled off on December 20.
