The Porto and Matosinhos Equestrian Center hosted, in the last 3 days, the International Jumping Competition 2* Atlantic Front 2022. There were about 170 sets of different nationalities that passed through the CHPM throughout the weekend. João Patrício, with C. Grand Canyon Z, won the CSI Grand Prix 2* Frente Atlântica, ahead of Duarte Seabra, currently number 1 in the FEP ranking. The young rider, who curiously also won the CSN-A Grand Prix last April at the CHPM, was faster than 9 other sets in the Barrage of the race. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place in the race were, respectively, Duarte Seabra, Teresa Blazquez-Abascal, Ricardo Gil Santos and Charlotte Petit-Jean. The latter beat the competition the day before, having won the Small Grand Prix, with Patchouli by Muze Z.
The big race, on Friday, was won by Brazilian Sílvio Teixeira da Silva with Donner, and, on Saturday, by Duarte Seabra with Moulin Rouge Van Paemel. Also noteworthy is Sara Portugal who won the 1.20m events on consecutive days, Friday and Saturday, with Ricardo Gil Santos winning this event on Sunday. By the way, Ricardo Gil Santos had already won the 1.30m race on Friday, while the home rider, Francisco Fleming, won the 1.30m on Sunday.
