Marta Paço, only 17 years old, wins gold medal for Portugal in adapted surfing

The Portuguese finished the final heat with 15 points



This Friday, 9 December, Portuguese Marta Paço became, for the second consecutive time, the world champion of adapted surfing, by winning the gold medal in category VI 1 (blind).

In Pismo Beach, California, the Portuguese woman finished the final heat with 15 points (6.00 and 9.00 in the best waves).

In the remaining places of the podium were the French surfer Valentine Moskoteoc, with 9,20 points (4,73 and 4,47), and the North American Barbie Pacheco, with 3,60 (1,83 and 1,77).

The surfer from Viana do Castelo was accompanied in the water by her coach Tiago Prieto.
