August 6th and 7th, at the Quinta de Santiago Museum Gardens
Mucéu, day of science, night of the stars, is back in Matosinhos and the Quinta de Santiago Museum Gardens, in Leça da Palmeira, on August 6th and 7th.
Science and physics workshops, portable planetarium sessions, lectures and stargazing with a telescope are some of the activities that the Câmara de Matosinhos proposes to mark, once again, this day of science and this night of the stars.
The program is vast, diversified and is aimed at the general public (aged 4+), families, the curious, beginners or astronomy lovers.
Held since 2009, the hosting of the astronomy action guided by the association FISUA - association of Physics of the University of Aveiro, integrated, until 2014, the offer program of "Ciência Viva no Verão", promoted by Ciência Viva - National Agency for Culture Scientific and Technological. With the new regulation for participation in the CVNV program, which establishes, with partner entities, the promotion of actions only in the municipality in which they are located, Mucéu is no longer an entity associated with the program. It has been part of the annual event plan since 2015 and is held in the gardens of the Quinta de Santiago Museum, a privileged space for stargazing.
