The Municipal Swimming Pool of Senhora da Hora received the competition
The Municipal Swimming Pool of Senhora da Hora received this Sunday, January 29th, the National University Swimming Championship (short pool), whose edition, besides registering a record number of 250 participants, including Olympic athletes, marked 3 new national university records in the female category.
That was the first competition of the Academic Federation of University Sport (FADU) in 2023 and gave the highest place on the podium to the Academic Association of Coimbra, the silver to the University of Porto and 3rd place to the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.
Accompanying the race and at the awards ceremony were, in addition to various individuals from the academic world, Vasco Pinho, City Councilman, Henrique Calisto, Director of the Municipal Sports Company, and Bruno Almeida, Director of the CDUP-UP.
The event was organized by FADU, the University of Porto, the CDUP-UP and the Swimming Association of the North of Portugal, with the support of Matosinhos Sport and the Matosinhos City Hall.
