A few days before another Queima das Fitas in Oporto, which will be held from 7 to 13 May, news never stop coming
The organization announced Two Door Cinema Club as the big stars of this year's poster.
The Irish band will perform on the 12th, at Almeida Stage, and promises to liven up the students' night with their latest album "Keep on Smiling", released last year. In this edition of Queima das Fitas, those who go to the venue will also be able to listen to Ornatos Violeta, Rosinha, Quim Barreiros, Wet Bed Gang and Dillaz.
The other big announcement is that this year students will be able to pay their tickets and consumption electronically. This means that to enter and consume at Queimódromo, the enthusiasts will use a wristband, which they must purchase in advance, to make the payments.
This way there will be almost no money circulating in the place: the wristbands are charged as needed by debit/credit card or MB Way.
"The digital transition accompanies the demands. It brings more comfort and security. In 2022, which was a fantastic year, 90% of tickets were bought via online," says Ana Gabriela Cabilhas, president of the Federação Académica do Porto (FAP).
Daily tickets are already available for 11 euros, and general passes are already sold out. FAP expects to receive about 300 thousand people throughout the days of the event.
