Registration for the 44th Liberty Race to be held in Custóias, in Largo do Souto, is free of charge and open until April 21st

As part of the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the 25th of April, promoted by the Council of the Union of the Parishes of Custóias, Leça do Balio and Guifões, the 44th edition of the Liberty Race and Walk, one of the oldest competitions of its kind in Portugal, will be held in Largo do Souto, in Custóias, Matosinhos. During the morning of Liberty Day, the streets of Custóias will once again host a sporting event that for four decades has continued to mark the national road race calendar, with races in several classes, namely, Benjamins, Infantiles, Initiates, Juveniles, Seniors and Veterans. Each of these races counts every year with the participation of athletes from all over the country and nationalities representing several clubs or participating individually, and are held in an urban circuit, through the main streets of the Custóias parish. One of the races that will be held, the walk, is suitable for families, children and all those who enjoy walking, in a leisurely perspective, and while doing so, they can always enjoy the company and companionship of the other participants, states of mind always present in this type of events.
