2nd Edition of BluAct

Applications until June 19 for sustainable business and entrepreneurship projects



Applications are now open for the second edition of BluAct, a program to support the growth of the economy of the sea, which aims to support innovative business ideas, especially intensive in knowledge and technology, and to promote the creation of qualified employment, fostering the county's economy. from Matosinhos.

BluAct was born from the European network URBACT and the good practices associated with the creation of start-ups in the sea economy vector, involving seven European port cities: Matosinhos (Portugal), Piraeus (Greece), Burgas (Bulgaria), Mataro ( Spain), Ostend (Belgium), Galati (Romania) and Salerno (Italy).

Bioworld, PINKTech and Blue_container were the three winning projects in the first edition of this entrepreneurship contest.

For the second edition of BluAct, without the seal of the European network, the Municipality of Matosinhos has a network of partners. They are: CEiiA, CIIMAR / CIMAR Associate Laboratory, CITEM, Fórum Oceano, INDAQUA, INEGI Informa, INESC TEC, Lipor, Sonae, Super Bock Group and UPTEC- Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto.

BluAct is aimed at people with business projects that are in the business idea stage or companies already legally constituted, with less than four years, and with a significant impact on the Economy of the Sea.
