He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and specialized in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Hospital de S. João. He was linked to the Portuguese Society of Hand Surgery, having been President between 2005 and 2007, as well as a member of the Northern Regional Council of the Portuguese Medical Association and representative of the European Doctors' Standing Committee (CPME). In addition to his clinical activity in the field of Plastic Surgery, he published several dozen scientific papers in National and Foreign Journals, having been an external researcher between 1999 and 2003 at the Genetics Institute of New York (USA). 8 years ago he opened a clinic in Matosinhos, where the rigor and quality of the services provided are allied, guided by the distinct doctor-patient interpersonal relationship. However, his constant restlessness in the face of the problems that society faces today and always in the incessant search for more and better knowledge, made him graduate in Law, followed by an internship in Law, making him the first doctor/lawyer of our country.
