The students of five classes of the EB Ribeiras, in Perafita, visited yesterday the works of the archaeological excavation located in Travessa das Devesas - Madoufe, in that parish
The excavation, following an urban licensing process, revealed an important prehistoric archaeological site dating from the Bronze Age (about 2000 years BC).
In the plot, with about 300 square metres, 34 pits were identified and excavated in the gravel, where prehistoric ceramics were collected, some of them with collages that allow reconstructing their profile.
The remains now found are located near the already referenced archaeological site called "Mota de Madoufe".
