Return of the party to celebrate the tradition of popular saints
June 15th was Arraial Day at the Quinta de Santiago Museum, a party around the leceira waterfall (donated in 2010 by José Moreira) and Santos Populares.
Between visits to the waterfall, popular marches, traditional music and competitions, we also have an exhibition of mini waterfalls, open until June 30th in the gardens of the Museum - within the scope of the “Faz a tua Cascata” initiative.
The event also included a set of activities for school audiences and those with special needs, and had the collaboration of several school and disability support institutions in the municipality:
- First Steps College (Leça hub);
- Nogueira Pinto Elementary School;
- Amorosa Elementary School;
- Father Grilo's work;
- Association Towards Life;
- APPACDM of Matosinhos;
- AAJUDE - Association for the Support of Disabled Youth;
- NAPESMAT - Nucleus of Friends of Fishermen of Matosinhos;
- Again - Association Support for Traumatic Brain Injury and Their Families;
- AMPF Matosinhos - Association of Matosinhos from the Past to the Future.
