Artist from Matosinhos invited by the Maia City Council

In the week of the world poetry day, at the invitation of Maia's Town Hall, Leandro Emanuel Pereira was called to perform two events

Poetry Week was celebrated by several municipalities. The Maia City Council offered a programme with several events, taking place in the Maia Municipal Library from 20 to 25 March. Two of the events were presented by the artist Leandro Emanuel Pereira. One of them was to give a poetry workshop to secondary school students, where he also sang his songs to them.

The Workshop "Poetry as a tool for the interpretation of the World", given by Leandro Emanuel Pereira with the support of the Municipal Library, took place on 21 March.

Students of the 7th and 8th year of Maia's Secondary School were present.

Leandro Emanuel Pereira born in 1983, in Matosinhos, graduated in organisational psychology, since very early evinced the need to express himself through poetry.

His dandyish and extrovert character, mixed with his introspective tendency, always motivated him to reflect in an exacerbated way about humanistic and cosmological issues, something that is clearly evident in his poems.
