The National Prize for Urban Rehabilitation is an initiative of Vida Imobiliária and Promevi
This award aims to distinguish the most valuable urban interventions for society in its multiple valences: the contribution to the qualification of cities and its impact on the community, the success measured by the acceptance by the market, the social impact and value, the capacity to induce change in the urban fabric. The different valences of a successful real estate initiative will be under analysis to reward excellence.
The rehabilitation of Block J of the Conjunto Habitacional Bairro dos Pescadores (completed in November 2022) is intended to serve as a model for the remaining blocks in the neighbourhood.
This is a work promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, through MatosinhosHabit-MH E.M., with a project by the architect António Carlos Coelho, from the C3+ Consulting studio, and the work of Secundino Queirós - Construções e Obras Públicas.
The award ceremony for the National Prize for Urban Rehabilitation (PNRU) will take place on 30 May, at the National Palace of Ajuda, in Lisbon.
