Carnaval is out on the streets

Thousands of people joined the party in the streets of Lavra


The Carnival returned yesterday to the streets of Lavra after two years of interregnum due to the pandemic.

12 groups and more than 700 revelers took the animation to the local population and visitors who joined the challenge launched and came to the parish. The parade began in the early afternoon in the Lavra Parish Church, following the street of Antela until the traffic circle of Avenida da Praia de Angeiras, going all the way to the marginal beach of Angeiras North.

The vice-president of the Municipality of Matosinhos, Carlos Mouta, the councilman for Sports, Vasco Pinho, and the president of the Union of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, Lurdes Queirós, joined the party and the thousands of participants and visitors who filled Lavra with joy and color typical of the carnival season.

The entertainment was in charge of the Carnival King Nelo Ferreira.
