Businesses and individuals continue to support war refugees
Over the last three months, many individuals and companies – small, medium and large, national and international – have volunteered to respond to the urgent need to support those displaced from the conflict in Ukraine who arrived in Matosinhos and the region.
Various furniture, appliances, textiles, mattresses and pillows were some of the items that were delivered to families who arrived in our country with nothing and who, now, with everyone's help, are slowly starting their lives in peace. .
As part of the Frente Atlântica’s “We are All Ukraine” campaign, SONAE MC Serviços Partilhados S.A. allocated 24,600 euros in “Dá Apoio” shopping cards to the Cristo Rei Redemptorist Seminary, in Vila Nova de Gaia, a structure that has concentrated a large part of the efforts to welcome and integrate Ukrainian refugees in the region.
SONAE was joined by other companies and institutions that gave their support. Are they:

Given the economically vulnerable situation in which many companies find themselves in this difficult phase, gestures like this are commendable and represent an example for all of us.
Matosinhos City Council thanks everyone for their involvement in solving this serious humanitarian crisis.
