Junta de Freguesia launches programme that aims to promote proximity with citizens
"Conversation with the President" is the most recent project of the Junta de Freguesia, whose main objective is to promote proximity between the municipality and the citizens.
According to the President of the Junta de Freguesia, Paulo Carvalho, "the concept is simple but bold, being an informal conversation, broadcast live, where the main initiatives undertaken by the Junta de Freguesia, throughout the year 2022, in the different areas of intervention are highlighted".
The first episode had its premiere last 28 October, Friday, at 18h30. The broadcast was held on the Facebook platform (official page of the Junta de Freguesia) and featured the participations of Paulo Carvalho and Manuela Galante, member of the executive.
"Conversation with the President" had Culture as its theme. Junt'Aberta, Matosinhos/Leça Who are you? Martyr Saint Sebastian festivities, Sant'Ana festivities and Cultural Fall 2022, were some of the events discussed, as well as a vast number of initiatives that result from the collaboration between the Parish Council and the institutions of Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira.
In the words of Paulo Carvalho, "this was a very positive debut of a project that aims to make a balance of the activities of the executive and above all, give voice to the institutions and citizens. The mayor also said that the next episodes will have a period for questions and suggestions, to be answered live, thus seeking to create greater interaction with all those who follow the broadcast.
