The action, part of the European Week for Waste Reduction 2022 - There's Christmas... with textiles! took place on 23, 24 and 25 November
The elderly of the Padrão da Légua Social and Parish Centre were involved in this activity, who were challenged to invent Christmas decorations through the reuse of unused and end-of-life fabrics.
Later, these decorations were placed on a tree that will be visible to the community. This tree was donated by a company that would no longer use it and which was no longer needed.
In this way, the aim was to raise the community's awareness of sustainable consumption and the importance of the circular economy.
