Children between the ages of three and 12 will be able to watch some of the biggest animation hits of the last year. The initiative takes place on the first Saturday of every month, from January to June
On the first Saturday of every month, the free children's cinema brings to NOS Cinemas of MAR Shopping Algarve and of MAR Shopping Matosinhos the biggest animation successes of the last year. The sessions are aimed at children aged 3 to 12 years old and accompanying persons (maximum of two adults and five people) and start at 10:30 am.
For each session, 450 tickets are available per meeting place, which can be picked up at the respective information desks, from Monday to Friday, during the centers' opening hours, always during the week in which the session takes place.

FEBRUARY
The animated film by Jeremy Degruson and Bem Stassen, the duo responsible for "The House of Magic" and "Bigfoot Junior", based on the famous creature similar to a great ape that many believe lives in the wild regions of the USA and Canada, follows in the programming of "Fitinhas". On Saturday, February 4, theaters will host "Bigfoot Family." Two months after having convinced his father to return home, Adam tries to cope with the mediatism in which the whole family has become involved. But now that he is famous, Bigfoot Dad is committed to using the recognition to support causes that can make the world a better place to live. This is how he finds himself involved in protecting a large forest reserve in Alaska, which seems to be in the sights of Xtrakt, a major oil company. Everything seems to be going well until Bigfoot stops communicating with his family and disappears without a trace. Now, determined to find out what happened, Adam, his mother and their four-legged pets head to Alaska. This is how they discover that the oil company has Bigfoot trapped on the premises and is preparing to destroy the entire valley.

The March 4 screening premieres "Sonic 2 - the Movie." The best-known blue hedgehog on the planet is back for a new level of adventure. After settling into Green Hills, Sonic is determined to prove he's up to a true hero, and the real test comes with the return of Dr. Robotnik, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic, with the help of Tails, embarks on a supermission on a global scale, to try to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
APRIL
The poster continues on April 1 with "Heart of Fire." Since she was 16, Georgia has aspired to be a firefighter like her father, Shawn Nolan, a retired captain of the New York City Fire Department, only unfortunately, in 1928, women were not allowed to be firefighters. But when a fire starts destroying Broadway theaters with colorful flames, all the city's firefighters mysteriously disappear. The Mayor of New York convinces Shawn to lead a team of clumsy volunteers to investigate the magical fires. Georgia sees an opportunity to follow her dream. If she can help her father stop the fires, she will be able to fulfill her destiny.

On the first Saturday in May, the 6th, the movie to delight families is "The Crocodile Friend." When the Primm family moves to New York, their son Josh struggles to adjust to the new school and his new friends. All that changes when he discovers Lyle, a singing crocodile, who loves baths, caviar and good music, living in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle's existence is threatened by the evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primm must team up with Lyle's charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti , to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there is nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile who has an even bigger personality.
JUNE
"Galilebre and the Lost Temple" is the adventure not to be missed on June 3. Galileb is a young hero who was born half hare, half hen and was adopted by King Peter, a famous hare adventurer. Eager to fit in and to be loved, Galilebre is obsessed with adventure, despite being very clumsy. When the kingdom's greatest villain, his own uncle, escapes from prison and threatens to overthrow his father, Galilebre embarks on an epic race against time to stop him, along with Abel, a sarcastic tortoise, and Mena, a fearless martial arts expert.
Six more animations to see or re-watch with the family, new memories that the meeting places MAR Shopping are keen to provide.

Free Screenings for Children: Rules of participation
1. The action "Fitinhas - Free Screenings for Children" is held by Shopping MAR ShoppingMatosinhos in partnership with NOS Cinemas of MAR Shopping Matosinhos.
2. The action "Fitinhas - Free Screenings for Children" will be held on the 1st Saturday of every month, at 10:30, in a movie theater of NOS Cinemas of MAR Shopping Matosinhos and in months to be designated by MAR Shopping Matosinhos, its programming will be communicated in https://www.marshopping.com/pt-pt/matosinhos/, where the films, dates and times of free screenings for children can be found.
3. The selection of films is predefined. Nevertheless, MAR Shopping Matosinhos and NOS Cinemas of MAR Shopping Matosinhos reserve the right to change or cancel the defined programming without prior notice, there being no refund or compensation for free tickets already obtained.
4. Children from 3 (three) to 12 (twelve) years of age and 2 (two) accompanying adults are allowed free entrance, with a maximum of 5 people per group.
Children must be accompanied by at least one (1) adult.
5. The collection of the tickets is made at the Information Desk of MAR Shopping Matosinhos, located on Level 0, within its opening hours, from Monday to Friday, in the week of the monthly session.
The supply of tickets is limited to 450 available seats. The withdrawal of tickets is only valid after filling out the registration form, and for the completion of the registration is necessary the presentation of ID or Citizen Card or Passport of the adult responsible for withdrawing the tickets. It is not allowed to pick up tickets for sessions in the following months.
6. The entrance to the "Free Screenings for Children" is validated by counter-delivery of the ticket in the NOS Cinemas of MAR Shopping Matosinhos, previously picked up at the Information Desk.
7. The session is reserved to available seats, not being allowed the previous choice of seats in the room.
8. Each session is limited to 450 available seats, and after all available seats have been delivered for the session in question, the ticket offer action for the session ends.
9. Partners, administrators, collaborators and employees of the promoter of the competition, as well as shopkeepers and employees of MAR Shopping Matosinhos, Hipermermercado Auchan Matosinhos, Loja IKEA Matosinhos, temporary spaces and pop up stores will not be admitted to participate in this action.
10. The standards and rules of access to the NOS cinemas of MAR Shopping Matosinhos are updated according to government and municipal guidelines. See the rules in force in (https://www.nos.pt/particulares/cinema/Pages/seguranca.aspx).
