The great celebration of volleyball, which took place during the last week of December during the school and holiday break, was attended by more than a thousand athletes, male and female, representing about 70 teams
Organized by Leixões Sport Club, with the support of the Matosinhos City Hall and Matosinhos Sport, the tournament counted a total of 250 games that were played at the Sports and Congress Center and at the Matosinhos EB Pavilion, by the various classes of minis, infants, beginners, cadets, juniors, juniors, under-21 and masters, along with the extra competitive schedule such as the GalaVolley Clinic and the GalaParty, the latter closing the event.
At the final ceremony and congratulating all participants were, among other individuals, Jorge Ferreira, Vice-President and responsible for the Leixões Volleyball Department, Luísa Salgueiro and Vasco Pinho, respectively President and City Councillor for Sports, Henrique Calisto, Administrator of Matosinhos Sport, Leonardo Fernandes, President of the Parish Union of São Mamede Infesta and Senhora da Hora, and Paulo Ferreira, member of the Executive of the Parish Union of Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira.
