Inaugurated in May 2005, the Municipal Gallery of Matosinhos has the mission of disseminating, promoting, creating and valuing modern and contemporary art, with an emphasis on Portuguese art. The Gallery also values the municipal collection with eventual acquisitions, deposit or donation of works that have been exhibited.
