The world's largest event dedicated to the real estate market started yesterday.
MIPIM takes place annually in Cannes and brings together more than 6,000 investors and international financial institutions.
Greater Porto, a brand that unites the three main municipalities of Greater Porto (Matosinhos, Porto and Gaia) in a project of synergistic cooperation between the territories, is, for the first time, present at this event, which takes place over the next four days. In addition to a fair-show of the most relevant real estate activities, MIPIM also brings a vast cycle of conferences and a number of initiatives, as a way to encourage networking among investors, financial institutions and the municipalities represented.
The goal of Greater Porto's presence in this year's edition of MIPIM is to promote and attract investment to the region, while seeking to create opportunities to foster and strengthen territorial alliances. It is with this in mind that the mayors of the three municipalities are present in several special initiatives of the event, such as the conference "Building Territories of the Future", where the mayors of Malaga and Madrid are also present.
Since the creation of the Greater Porto brand, the three municipalities (Matosinhos, Porto, and Gaia) have engaged in a collaborative dialogue to discuss joint strategies and attract investment, building a shared future. At this moment Greater Porto is already attracting talent, startups and international companies, an example also highlighted at MIPIM 2023, in the conference "Collaborative Cities: Designing, Implementing and Sustaining Strategic Partnerships", where the Lionesa Business Hub, the companies REVITO, Chave Nova and Retail Mind and The Fladgate Partnership group are participating.
