Tai Chi Class - Custóias Civic Centre

On the afternoon of 3 May, a Tai-Chi class was held at the Custóias Civic Centre, open to the community and part of the Healthy Living Week activities. The Closer Project results from the partnership established between the Local Health Unit of Matosinhos and the Matosinhos City Hall, and dynamises group activities for people diagnosed with mental health pathologies, such as anxiety, depression or serious mental illness. This modality, of Chinese origin is practised worldwide, and is particularly appreciated in Western culture for its relationship with meditation and the promotion of health and well-being, providing practitioners with tranquillity and balance.
