LeV comes to an end, already set for 2024

The 17th edition brought to Matosinhos the launch of books, debates, interviews, musical moments and exhibitions

The 17th edition of LeV - Literatura em Viagem came to an end this weekend.

During almost a week, LeV brought to Matosinhos several literary manifestations. Book launches, round tables, debates, interviews, conferences, exhibitions, were some of the initiatives that were part of this year's programme.

There were about 30 guests invited for this edition, among them Dulce Maria Cardoso, Gonçalo M. Tavares, João Tordo, António Carlos Cortez, Francisco Seixas da Costa, José Milhazes, Kalaf Epalanga, Karina Sainz Borgo or Teolinda Gersão.

The last day of LeV went in the direction of literary autobiographies, with the participation of Dulce Maria Cardoso and Karina Sainz Borgo, passing through music, with Rita Red Shoes, Kalaf Epalanga and João Tordo and finishing this journey with a table dedicated to sentimental and literary geographies where Teolinda Gersão, Sònia Hernández and Ana Bárbara Pedrosa were in conversation.

In the 17th edition of LeV it was also possible to see the exhibition in the Municipal Gallery of Matosinhos, "100 texts on a journey", the result of the project "The Journey and the Books", promoted by the Municipal Library Florbela Espanca together with the schools of all groupings in the municipality of Matosinhos. An exhibition that showed, through QR Codes, 100 readings made by the students, based on 100 texts about travels by Gonçalo M. Tavares.

The Travelling Literature also travelled to the municipality's schools with several special sessions directed to the youngest in the already usual LeVzinho and a program of activities for this age group in the Florbela Espanca Municipal Library.

In 2024, LeV will return with many new features and the promise of new journeys around literature.
