A worker from a company outside the Port of Leixões died, mid-afternoon this Tuesday, following a work accident inside the port area, in Matosinhos
According to the Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo (APDL), the man, whose age has not yet been established, was dismantling "inactive equipment," namely molasses tanks, when the accident occurred. The APDL, lamenting "profoundly what happened", informed that it is investigating the circumstances of the accident. The INEM remains at the scene.
The company in question dismantles all equipment at the end of its life.
