Nine more charging stations for electric vehicles in Matosinhos

The municipality of Matosinhos has a new hub for electric vehicle charging, which includes a total of nine stations. According to Mobi.E, the infrastructure can be used by 14 vehicles simultaneously and will be operated by Kilometer Low Cost



With this new space, located at Rua Dr. Manuel Rodrigues de Sousa, the municipality now has a total of 88 charging stations connected to the Mobi.E network, corresponding to 149 charging points.

Luís Barroso, president of Mobi.e, said in a statement that this is "another step to increase drivers' confidence and help reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere associated with mobility.

With this pilot project in Matosinhos, the number of Mobi.e hubs in cities with high demand rises to nine and the number of ultra-fast charging stations in inland cities is 12, "an investment of more than three million euros, integrated in the Economic and Social Stabilization Program.

In the country, "the hubs of Leiria, Guimarães, Loures, Loulé, Viseu, Coimbra and Matosinhos are already functioning. Almada and Vila Nova de Gaia will follow soon.
