Submission of proposals starts this September
The Parish Council of Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira informs that, as of September 19, another edition of the Participatory Budget will start.
The Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a mechanism of participatory democracy and
participatory democracy that allows citizens to have the power of direct decision on the use of public money in the promotion of public policies. This program aims to contribute to an informed and responsible participation of the parishioners in the local governing process and ensure their participation in decisions about the investments made by the parish, representing a real correspondence between the real needs and the natural aspirations of the population.
With regard to citizen participation, the period for submitting/submitting proposals will run from September 19 to October 16. Once again, participation will take place online, and those interested can access the PB platform and consult the regulations through the website of the Parish Council - wwww.jfmatosinhoslecapalmeira.pt
As in previous editions, a period of analysis, selection and voting on the proposals submitted is also planned. The winning proposals will be announced in December and will be part of the Parish Council Plan and Budget for 2023.
