Ponte do Carro was built over a section of the Leça River valley. In this park there are several trails along the river bank that take visitors to the left bank where there is the railway, which is still active today. This railway is used, nowadays, to transport goods to the Port of Leixões. This park was built in a very rugged and forested area, but with small interconnected platforms for pedestrian paths. When visiting this area, it is worth noting the riverside lifestyle due to the existence of small mills and small old but still habitable houses. Ponte do Carro Park is connected to Quinta de Santa Cruz do Bispo and Monte de São Brás.
