The first book of Andreia Félix, from Matosinhos, "O Círculo do Medo" is presented on Saturday, December 17, at 11:00 in the Auditorium of the Municipal Library Florbela Espanca, in Matosinhos
The writer, actress, coach and communication specialist launches a novel about memories, the puzzles we build, the possibility of making different choices and rebuilding them. "In my dreams, I always imagined myself launching my book in my hometown. What I am has a lot of Matosinhos. My roots are here, my family of origin is here and, therefore, Matosinhos is in this book."
Andreia Félix explains how it all began: "This book was born shortly after my father's death in March 2021 and, at the beginning of 2022, it took on a more concrete form for me and, from then on, it was unstoppable. I interviewed several people, got to know their memories and shared myself."
Pedro Chagas Freitas accompanied the author during the writing of her first book: "He was my policeman. From the moment I accounted for my work week by week, there was no way I could procrastinate." The result, in the words of Pedro Chagas Freitas, is, "a book full of soul."
To lift the veil a little of what's coming: "This book is about a person. Any person. A unique person. The memories he remembers are these. There could be others. People are more than their memories. And yet, they make a tremendous effort to attach themselves to them. As if they were part of who they are. Our cells renew themselves. Some faster than others. After a short time, they are all new and the memories persist. How?"
At the presentation of the book, there will also be Pedro Santos, finalist of The Voice Portugal, who will play some original songs. You can also count on "emotions, autographs and hugs, lots of hugs.
Synopsis
Are memories past, present or future? What fears are born with memories? How do they influence our choices? We construct puzzles about reality and about who we are. And we live according to these conceptions. This book puts together and shuffles puzzle pieces. Perhaps it is possible to make other choices.

Biography
Born in Matosinhos, from the 80's and with two wonderful daughters, Andreia Félix is a woman from the north full of spirit. Fascinated by people and stories since she was 5, she started in the theatre at 14 and started doing radio and writing in the local newspaper at 16. She moved to Lisbon where she graduated in Journalism. She is a coach and communication specialist. Since 2015, she has been co-creating - writing and performing - theatrical shows at Colectivo A Tribo, in Mafra. Why does she do theatre and write? To provoke, make reflect and inspire change. To live as the various people she believes she is and to inspire others to live in their fullness. This is her first book.
