Projet Sinergias

About 2200 people involved in the two actions of the project

The Sinergias project, implemented by the Matosinhos City Hall in partnership with ADEIMA (Association for the Integrated Development of Matosinhos) between January 2020 and June 2022, aimed to promote school success and intervene on early school leaving.

Aimed at young students between the ages of 15 and 24, at risk of failure, absenteeism, and school dropout, young people in situations of actual school dropout and parental figures, and educational agents in the territories of São Mamede de Infesta and Senhora Hora, the project was based on two actions - "School in Community" and "Matosinhos Educa" - and involved about 2200 people.

Under "School in Community", the Sinergias project contributed to the construction of a school in community, with the aim of fostering educational success and increasing motivation for learning at school and out-of-school times in a particularly vulnerable area such as the Seixo Housing Unit.

The "Matosinhos Educa" action aimed to boost the educational path of 3rd cycle and high school students from the Padrão da Légua, Senhora da Hora, Abel Salazar, and Alternância Professional School Schools, as well as to identify and monitor young people between the ages of 15 and 24 who were dropping out of school.
