The first names of Queima das Fitas do Porto 2023 were announced this Tuesday and the big headliners are Ornatos Violeta
After 20 years, the band from Porto returns to one of the most important festivities for students in the Invicta city.
The event will take place between 7 and 13 May, for the first time, on three stages, reveals an official source. More than 50 artists related to music, dance, comedy and art will pass through the enclosure, distributed by the Academy Stage (the main stage), Secondary Stage, with thematic nights, and Culture Stage, with greater emphasis on the "stand-up comedy", said the president of the Academic Federation of Porto (FAP).
The first night will be of Ornatos Violeta and Ivandro, being also confirmed the Portuguese Chico da Tina, Slow J, Wet Bed Gang, Quim Barreirros and Rosinha. The bands for the nights of May 12th and 13th are not yet closed and will be announced soon, as well as the remaining groups, guarantees Gabriela Cabilhas.
This year, the Porto Queima das Fitas will count with more than 500 student volunteers, involved in different areas of knowledge and from different schools and faculties.
The president of FAP says that "with the reinforcement of this poster", expects that it will be beaten "a new record and exceed the income of the previous year, which was already marked by one of the most participated editions ever".
Remember that in 2022, Queima das Fitas welcomed more than "300 thousand people" in the eight nights of celebration, three of which were sold out.
The first sales phase of general tickets are already sold out.
