The Quinta de Santiago Museum was inaugurated in 1996 and, since 2003, it has been part of the Portuguese Network of Museums, being one of the founding museum spaces of MuMa (Museu Network of Matosinhos).
Since 2010, the Quinta de Santiago space consists of 3 buildings:
- The Museum, consisting of two floors: the first floor is dedicated to local history, being an example of the experiences of the end of the century. 19th and early 20th century. XX; second floor is dedicated to long term.
- Espaço Irene Vilar has a multipurpose auditorium and spaces for educational services;
- Casa do Bosque is where the Giant Waterfall is located, with about fifteen square meters. It is a reconstruction of Leça from the beginning of the 19th century. XX, built by José Moreira and donated to the Museum-
In the large garden that builds the Museum, you can find the cultural works, Ruiz Anahory and Lagoa Vieira.
