Traditional songs, hot wine and French toast warmed up another January night
The Santa Cruz do Bispo Log was lit once again, this time in the Parish Hall of Santa Cruz do Bispo, since weather conditions did not allow the event to take place outdoors.
Traditional songs, hot wine and French toast warmed up another January night.
This tradition has been recovered and promoted for three editions by the Parish Union of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, and aims to gather family and friends around a community log, where they sing the janeiras and share joy.
This event had the participation and help in the organization of the Santa Cruz do Bispo Scouts, the Perafita Scouts, the folkloric group "Os Padeirinhos de Freixieiro", the Sargaceiras and Marítimos de Angeiras group, the folkloric group from Aldeia Nova and the folkloric group from the Casa do Povo de Santa Cruz do Bispo.
The Deputy Mayor, Carlos Mouta, and the President of the Union of Parishes of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, Lurdes Queirós, as well as the Executive of the Council, were present at this tradition that persists in Santa Cruz do Bispo.
