Party weekend at Praia de Angeiras
In keeping with the tradition, Angeiras beach once again received the “Festa da Sardinha”.
With lots of entertainment in the streets, in the market, at the fish market or in the fish square, there was no lack of popular music, a dance festival, a tribute to fishermen, an ethnographic parade, the 48th Folklore Festival of Rancho das Sargaceiras and, of course, , lots of grilled sardines.
Organized by the Rancho das Sargaceiras e Marítimos de Angeiras and the union of the parishes of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, the Festa da Sardinha is already a leading gastronomic event in the Porto Metropolitan Area and has the support of the Matosinhos City Council. .
Angeiras is, moreover, a place known for its gastronomic excellence, for its relationship with the sea, a means of sustenance for the people of this land.
The Mayor, Luísa Salgueiro, and the president of the Union of Parishes of Perafita, Lavra and Santa Cruz do Bispo, Lurdes Queirós, were present at the event.
