Between April 6 and 16, spend the Easter vacations in the company of a friend for life

Once upon a time, a man, aviator and writer, who was once a child, wrote a book with a series of messages that were as true in 1943 as they are now, 80 years later. "The Little Prince" "lands" this Easter at MAR Shopping Matosinhos to show us all that "one can only see well with the heart", because the "essential is invisible to the eye".
Between April 6 and 16, at the Atrium (floor 0), the airplane of the aviator, a sculpture of Little Prince or a paper boat will be the backdrop for pictures of other planets. There will also be an exhibition with books and elements of this timeless story and a Stop Motion area for children to create their own animations allusive to "The Little Prince". Admission is free.
O Principezinho
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry first published "The Little Prince" in 1943, while recovering from war wounds in New York, a year before his plane was reported missing over the Mediterranean Sea during a reconnaissance mission in World War II. Eighty years later, his fable about love and loneliness is still current, after all, as before, also now "people are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges".
Because "love is the only thing that grows as it is shared", and like the aviator who was stranded in the Sahara desert after his plane broke down, children will find in MAR Shopping Matosinhos a story that will take them to travel through as many planets as the little prince visited. And, in them, learn something they will carry with them for life. This, if they never forget they were children, something that happens to most adults.
Pictures in scenes from the story to share with the family and with those close to them is one of the proposals. After all, "love does not consist in looking at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. In this activity, the rose is not missing, because it is the time we dedicate to our flowers that make them special, and it is not because one has stung us that they all become the same.
"The Little Prince" will also be revealed through a mini-exhibition with books, illustrations, and other elements of the story that has become a classic for children and adults alike.
For real fun, spend some time in the area dedicated to stop motion, an animation technique widely used in computers. There you will find real models of "The Little Prince" in small print to create an animation that you can then send by e-mail to your parents or other family members or friends.
Enjoy these Easter vacations at MAR Shopping Matosinhos and remember: "those who pass by us don't go alone, they don't leave us alone. They leave a little of themselves, they take a little of us."
