There are four Portuguese dishes among the 100 best in the world

TasteAtlas has once again released the 'ranking' with the best suggestions for traditional food around the world. Portugal is once again well represented

Portugal may not have won the World Cup'2022, but nobody takes away the fact that we have one of the best gastronomies in the world. The TasteAtlas, a platform dedicated to the discovery of dishes worldwide, returned to make a 'ranking' with the best suggestions for traditional food. Portugal has four dishes in the top 100.

And one of them is in the top three. We are talking about clams Bulhão Pato, which ranked third among the best in the world. This list was based on more than 100 thousand reviews that are made on the website itself.

A little further down the table we again see a national suggestion. In 25th position is the pork "Alentejo style". In 34th place we find the roasted chicken with piri piri. The last national dish to make the list is the suckling pig Bairrada style. It is in the 89th position.

The TasteAtlas top 2022 is led by the Japanese kare, a kind of curry. In second place was the picanha from Brazil. Ceviche, pizza margherita, prawns al ajillo and pierogi are also part of this ranking.

In 2021, Portugal had already entered this list with other dishes, such as bitoque (fish stew), octopus à lagareiro (octopus with olive oil) and espetada (skewer) from Madeira.
