A total investment of about 4 million euros

After opening a shop in Leça do Balio, Lavra and Leça da Palmeira in the district of Matosinhos, Aldi will arrive in Guifões this week, more specifically on 26 April. It will be the fourth Aldi shop in the municipality of Matosinhos and it is located in a natural growth area of the city, in order to complement the food retail offer.
As usual in each opening, the in-store experience will be enriched with the amenities that customers already know and appreciate, such as the self-service 100% natural orange juice machine, with fresh oranges from the Algarve; the award-winning pastry and bakery section ("Consumer's Choice"), with hot baked bread replenished several times a day; an area made up of fresh produce at the entrance to the shop, most of which is of national origin; and also exclusive bazaar articles at very competitive prices, including small electronics, decoration and garden articles, home textiles and many others.
Besides the new shop, with a total sales area of 1,000 m2, this project also included the creation of 37 parking spaces in the public space, in addition to those that already existed before the construction work, and the shop's new exclusive car park, which has 71 spaces for customers.
Additionally, the construction project of the new supermarket made it possible to improve the urban framing of the shop's surroundings, to re-qualify part of Avenida Doutor Salgado Zenha, where it is located, and to build a roundabout for greater customer convenience. In all, around 4 million euros were invested.
Aldi Guifões, the 129th shop at national level, and the seventh to open in 2023, has generated 20 new jobs.
