AMP buses' new image unveiled

The Área Metropolitana do Porto (AMP) presented this Friday the new metropolitan bus transport brand, created following the public tender for the region's bus service

The public presentation of the "identity of AMP public transport" marks, thus, the arrival of a "new image" that "will be the visible face of mobility and a territory as diverse as cohesive.

For Bruno Sousa, creative director of the company Bastarda, responsible for the proposal, the brand "brings the union of the 17 municipalities. "Through the verb "to go", we also have the "feeling of mobility" and "route reading", a route that is then made and realized, from a visual point of view, with this multilayered line drawing, having the presence of four colors, blue, green, yellow, and terracotta, over the black of the logo's lines", he explained.

On the other hand, the president of the Metropolitan Council of Porto, Eduardo Vítor Rodrigues, highlighted the "joint work that was done" by the municipalities in the scope of the public tender for road transport, and referred that this new image "corresponds above all to a new stage of transport in the region".

This new phase means that the buses will reach "more places, more frequently, with routines and better equipment", the mayor adds.

Eduardo Vítor Rodrigues also refers that the annual expense of implementing this new service "can reach up to 18 million euros per year", shared by the different municipalities and should begin to be present on the ground in the middle of this year.
