Couple that slept in the airport now has a house

Bruno Vasconcelos, 43, and Irina Freitas, 45, who had been sleeping for over a month at Sá Carneiro airport, now have a home again

Sensitized with the couple's situation, which was reported by the JN, an uncle Irina gave them a housing in Perafita, Matosinhos.

"We've already been able, this Tuesday, to take a proper shower", Bruno says, explaining that, "for the time being", this will be the alternative they'll use, until they decide which is the best employment option, among the proposals that came in the wake of the news.

The house was closed and is not furnished," said Bruno, asking, "if possible, "a bed, a stove and a refrigerator.

After a wave of solidarity that was generated among JN readers, Bruno and Irina received several job offers, but none "for the immediate future". "We had proposals to work in rural tourism and in agriculture in Covilhã, another to go to Nice (France) to work in construction and Irina in cleaning, and another, also in France, to work picking vegetables in greenhouses," said Bruno.

The man says that they are evaluating what they will do, and there is also a "remote chance that they will also have work here.

Bruno and Irina had been living at the airport since last December 13, sleeping on the benches in the departure area, after having been forced to leave the house where they lived, following a partition process.
