A couple suspected of having robbed, in April 2022, a jewellery shop in Matosinhos using a firearm and having stolen items "worth several thousand euros" was arrested, announced yesterday, April 4, the Judicial Police (PJ)
In a statement, the PJ says that the two suspects, 30 and 38 years, entered that establishment in Matosinhos, in the district of Porto, and, "by threatening with a firearm, forced the owner to open the safe from which subtracted several pieces in gold and silver".
According to the Judiciary, immediately afterwards, the man and the woman "went to the shop window, having seized several artefacts that were on display, worth several thousand euros".
The detainees, both with criminal records for theft, offence against physical integrity and drug trafficking, will be presented to the competent judicial authority for application of coercive measures.
