Doctor Gustavo Carona launches Volunteering Fair in Matosinhos

Aimed at "all those who fight for a better world", the Volunteering Fair being organised by the Heart and the World Awards team, conceived by Gustavo Carona, a doctor, promises to shake up Matosinhos on 17 and 18 June

The fair, which is the first event within the scope of the awards, will take place at the Quinta de Monserrate - Club, in the city centre, and aims to be a showcase for organisations - national or international - that are dedicated to social and humanitarian action. The aim is to establish the connection between those who work in the field and those who would like to get more information, volunteer or make donations.

"The line is always that of awarding and publicising what, in our view, is fighting for a better world and for human rights. We are going to have several dynamics within the scope of offering visibility to the beautiful things that are being done around", the Matosinhos intensivist physician reinforces to JN.

The institutions interested in participating can register until the end of this month, through Instagram or Facebook of the Heart and the World Awards. According to the organisation, registrations are limited to 200 associations, and their selection will be made by the team that is organising the event.

"With the Volunteering Fair we intend to promote contact between the public and all the social and humanitarian action organisations that act in Portugal or across borders in the most diverse areas," says the organisation.

"It is a fair where NGOs will be showing who they are and what they do, and all people curious and interested in contributing for a better world will be able to satisfy their curiosities and add value to those who look at the World with more heart," adds, on Facebook, the team of the Heart and the World Awards.

Access to the event will be free and among the planned activities there are talks, workshops and musical moments.
