Eight interested in buying Efacec

Expressions of interest were listed by national and foreign entities. The privatisation process is back to square one and, according to the statement sent out by Parpública, the state has eight expressions of interest in the 71.73 percent it wants to sell

The deadline for selecting candidates ended on Monday 5 December. It now begins the phase of "presentation by pre-selected potential interested parties of binding proposals," the statement said.

This is the second attempt, since the sale of the State's stake in Efacec to DST from Braga "was not completed" in October, according to the government because "not all the conditions necessary to implement the sale agreement have been met.

The State entered Efacec's capital in 2020. The company previously belonged to Angolan businesswoman Isabel dos Santos.
