Employee rescued due to smoke inhalation in a fire at a study centre in Lavra

A fire in the study centre of the Clube C+S de Lavra, in Matosinhos, has caused a person to be assisted on the spot due to smoke inhalation



The alert was given around 3pm, when a fire caused "an employee, who was exposed to smoke, to be rescued on the spot", said a source from the Voluntary Fire Brigade of Matosinhos-Leça. The victim was later referred to the Pedro Hispano Hospital.

The reason for the fire "is not yet known" and is being ascertained, but the same source of firefighters advances that "may have been an electrical problem".

On site were present the Bombeiros Voluntários de Matosinhos-Leça, Leixões and S. Mamede de Infesta, the GNR and the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Matosinhos.
