FUSE VALLEY, conceived by architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), is based on innovation, sustainability and well-being, and will have a total construction area of about 140,000 m². This project is among the four finalists in the MIPIM Awards, in the Best New Development category.
Bjarke Ingels (Founder & Creative Director, BIG) says: "We are very excited about the nomination of FUSE VALLEY for this year's MIPIM Awards. FUSE VALLEY will be a living urban cluster that will bring businesses, employees, customers, investors and creators to what will be one of the most innovative locations in Portugal. The urban fabric will allow FUSE VALLEY to grow and expand organically. We hope that the MIPIM Awards jury will recognize the qualities of this new community village on the slopes of the Leça River in Matosinhos."
This development, surrounded by the new urban park and organized around squares and open gardens, will host a panoply of offices, as well as a diversity of services in order to facilitate the day-to-day life of both its users and the local community.
Castro Group, a company dedicated to real estate investment, will include in its program 62.800 m² of offices, available to receive several companies, a hotel with 72 rooms, 5,000 m² of retail and service spaces, such as restaurant areas, supermarkets and gymnasium, as well as outdoor leisure spaces.
Paulo Castro (CEO, Castro Group) states that: "The nomination of FUSE VALLEY in the MIPIM Awards recognizes the uniqueness of this project, which we will develop in Matosinhos, and puts this space on the international map of what is best done both in terms of sustainability and innovation. Being among the four finalists is also a pride and an incentive for the whole team that has been dedicated to this project.
MIPIM 2023 takes place between March 14 and 17, in Cannes. This event, dedicated to the real estate market, is already considered the largest real estate fair in the world. Here will be gathered the most influential players of this sector at an international level, allowing participants access to a considerable number of projects and sources of capital. Castro Group will also be present and will be part of the Greater Porto (Stand P-1. J54) - an entity which unites the municipalities of Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia - showing some of its current projects.
